Elderly in jail just waiting for time to die

Lola Asuncion, a frail, white-haired woman of 72, should
have been enjoying the twilight of her years in the company of her family.

Instead, she has been languishing in jail for the last seven
years.

No bidding in PNP purchases worth P322M

THE POLICE are buying some P322-million worth of patrol cars, motorcycles and handguns without a public bidding for the 12th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit scheduled in the first week of December, according to documents shown the Inquirer.
